What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies, local storage and similar tools let a website keep small pieces of information in your browser. We use the words “cookies” and “storage” for all of them here.
What we store
| Where | What and why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Photographer dashboard | Sign-in data from our sign-in service (Firebase Authentication), kept in your browser’s storage so you stay signed in. | Until you sign out |
| Photographer dashboard | A flag used only when our own staff open a read-only support preview of a studio’s dashboard. | Until the browser tab closes |
| Guest gallery | A random ID for each event you open, so the gallery remembers your consent and your matched photos without an account. It contains nothing about who you are. | 45 days, or until you clear this site’s data |
| This website and the photographer dashboard | Your cookie choice (accept or decline analytics), so we don’t ask on every page. | Until you clear this site’s data |
| This website and the photographer dashboard, if you accept | Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*, set by Google Analytics) that count visits and pages viewed, to help us improve the site. |
Up to 2 years |
Other services our pages use
Some pages load content from other providers. They receive your IP address and browser details when they send it, as any website does, and handle that under their own policies:
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on our pages.
- Google sign-in is used if you choose “Continue with Google”. Google may set its own cookies in its sign-in window.
- Our payment gateway runs checkout when a studio buys a plan. It may set its own cookies during checkout, for security and fraud prevention.
- Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies, measures site usage. See how Google uses this data.
We don’t control these providers’ cookies.
Your choices
Choose Accept or Decline in the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings, also in every page’s footer.
You can view and delete stored data in your browser’s settings, usually under “Site data” or “Cookies and site data”. If you block it, photographers may be signed out each time, and guests will need to take a new selfie when they come back to a gallery.
Changes
We may update this page from time to time. Optional cookies are only ever set with your consent.
